Charlie wearing Kjus gear

When we went in search of a ski wear partner we wanted to find someone at the top of their game.  We believe that we offer some of the most incredible off piste and heli skiing experiences on the planet, and we wanted a brand to match…

And that’s why we are delighted to be collaborating with KJUS, a ski brand founded in 2000 and which stands for extraordinary design, outstanding quality, and maximum performance.

According to their mantra:

“The KJUS Performance Lifestyle describes the life of active people.  Who love sport, come rain or shine.  Who enjoy the one-of-a-kind moments and want to experience the beauty of nature. Who strive to achieve amazing things in life. These are people who take time for the things that really matter, and in doing so are just as unwilling to compromise as we are.”

We were delighted that our European Pure Powder guides were all kitted out in KJUS gear for this season.  We offer bespoke off-piste skiing trips with our guides in Europe and beyond which means that the KJUS gear has already been tried and tested in Zermatt, Klosters, Chamonix, Greenland, India and Russia among other places…

Big heli in Russia

I was lucky enough to test drive the KJUS clothing a few times last winter too and I only have positive things to say about it.  Here are 3 personal highlights about the kit:

1) Its warm and very waterproof

I was fortunate to stress test the gear a number of times last season.  It easily survived a very snowy weekend in Courmayeur keeping everything nice and dry, no problem with a cold few days in Porte de Soleil and it loved the deep powder of heli skiing in Canada!

2)  Great design and sensible pockets

Ah, the pockets… I truly think that a tell-tale sign of a great ski suit is the presence of pocket perfection!  The KJUS jacket and trousers just had all the bases covered for the array of kit that one inevitably has to take onto the slopes.  And I personally really like the subtle, simple and oh so smart orange and black styling.

3) Very light materials and comfortable fit

One thing that really struck me when I first wore the ski trousers was how incredibly light the material was.   And the jacket isn’t too far behind ether and the lightness just makes for a really comfortable fit.

So, all-in-all, a big thumbs up from me and our guides!  I can’t wait to wear it all again this coming winter…
