Easy Accessible Town Based Lodge
Kootenay Lodge is situated in the sleepy town of Nakusp which is easily accessible from Kelowna. It is located at The Lodge at Arrow Lakes – a quirky, cool hotel, with large and comfortable rooms and the locals favourite restaurant. The hotel is a short drive from the natural hot springs which is always a welcome stop on the way home from a day in the mountains.
Powder Playground
Kootenay is known for its perfectly spaced glades, steep bowls and endless pillow lines. It is the perfect lodge for strong skiers who like a challenge and is a favourite for those with limited time off due to its shorter trips. Kootenay’s 1,155 sq km of skiable terrain is spread between the Selkirks and the Monashees ranges, and it sees an average annual snowfall of 18 metres.
KOOTENAY TRIPS
Our most popular heli skiing trip where you would be heli skiing in groups of 11 guests, with 3 or 4 groups per helicopter. Each day you’ll generally have the chance to ski between 8 and 12 runs.
A speedier turn-around between runs means more powder for you and your friends. Either come with your own ready-made group of 4 or join one of our groups.
Designed to take you into the most challenging terrain available we will look for the lines that give you the best chance to develop your steep skiing skills with expert coaching (conditions & safety dependent).
