Vast & Varied Terrain for Everyone
Located within British Columbia’s Monashee Mountains, and near Kelowna Airport, its easily accessible for either your warm-up or skiing holiday. The light, champagne powder and the large, varied ski terrain is what draws people to SilverStar during the winter months. The four mountain faces that surround this resort have 132 runs between them ensuring that there’s something for everyone – from wide open pistes to steep expert runs in the back bowls. It is the perfect resort for people who love winter sports as there are also lots of other activities available both on and off the slopes. SilverStar is most convenient for the following CMH areas: Adamants, Galena, Gothics, Monashees, Cariboos, Kootenay & Revelstoke.
Ski-In Ski-Out Village
If you want everything to be conveniently at your doorstep, whilst you spend the day on the slopes, it is perfect for you. It is an intimate ski resort village, but with lots of ski terrain to explore in the day. Most accommodations within the resort are self-catered, with a few hotels, but you can easily dine out in the evening, and enjoy the local restaurants and bars which are located within the village centre. If you’re there for a longer period of time, consider getting a delivery order. It’s a great place for all types of skiers
WHERE TO STAY
Snowbird Lodge
This accommodation offers luxury self-catering suites with ski-in/ski-out access to the main slope and gondola. It has arguably the best location in the resort, with large comfortable rooms and if you happen to book either into a one–, two– or three–bedroom suite, you are guaranteed your own private hot tub.
Firelight Lodge
This place is perfect if you want to be a little further away from the main action. It is the resorts newest accommodation, with modern amenities and views of the pond or surrounding mountains. It is also perfect for families as it is close to the skating pond and tube town.
ACTIVITIES
Guided Tour
If you’re new to the resort and want to learn about the best places to ski, and to help you navigate the terrain, there are free guided tours of the mountain fom a local. These depart at 09:30am everyday and you can meet in front of the Town Hall.
Cross-Country SKiing
SilverStar has one of the largest dailey groomed cross coytnry skiing trail network in Canada – definitely worth renting some cross-country skis and trying it out.
Private Ski Lessons
If you want to improve your skills prior to your heli-skiing trip, book a private ski or boarding lesson to get you ready for your trip. Reach out to the team for more details.
Ice Hockey
If you want to head into Kelowna, its worth checking out the local Hockey Team – the Vernon Vipers. Buses leave from the resort and back from the game throughout the season.

How do I get there?
It is only an hour’s drive from Kelowna Airport with regular shuttles to and from the airport. Kelowna is accessible by internal flights from either Calgary or Vancouver. Alternatively, our team can help organise a private transfer or a hire car.
